The race at Talladega Superspeedway has moved two weeks in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. What does this mean for the drivers on the circuit? The only real meaning is that the race is in a different time compared to the past. The track is still the most volatile track in the business. Large wrecks happen at Talladega more often than at any other track. The incredible speeds and tight racing packs lead to multi-car crashes on a regular basis.Didn’t catch that? This explains it. There are times when plenty of drivers lose their vehicles for the race when they did nothing wrong. That’s the unfortunate part about racing at Talladega.

Fans love the high speeds at Talladega. Now that it has moved two weeks, the fans will adjust their schedules to make sure they are present for one of the best races of the year. Talladega in the Chase has a huge impact on who wins the championship. A bad day at Talladega can seriously harm a driver’s chances of winning the championship. On the other hand, winning Talladega in the Chase can spring a driver right into contention for the championship. There is sure to be plenty of great racing at Talladega this year.

After joining a new team, Hendrick Motorsports, Kasey Kahne has driven to his first victory after dominating the NASCAR at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This was his 300th start and he remarked that he was very pleased to give Rick and Linda Hendrick a win.

This marked Kahne’s fourth win at Charlotte. This win made up for his recent race at Pocono Raceway where he started at 10th position and moved up in the top five. He had a bad luck situation after having contact with another car resulting in Kahne leaving the track and going to the garage. This landed him at 29th place in the contest.

Kahne’s first six races were disastrous. He failed to finish better than 14th. His best performance started at Martinsville, which felt like it was a ‘turnaround’ race and then his engine blew. He improved a little in Texas with a seventh place finish.

The first victory he has scored for his new team has put Kahne in a better position on the track as well as mentally. This allows him to be able to focus on putting his team in contention for the championship. Kahne has the skill and the ability. He now has the first victory.

NASCAR has been described as a white-knuckle thrill ride that people all across the country enjoy, but most of us know that it isn’t the track, the crowds, or even the cars that define the sport. Not even the sponsors can steal the thunder of what truly matters in a race – the racers. While some of us diehards might have some disputes over who we might consider to be the top 3 NASCAR racers, I think we can all agree that the ones who make this list are just as deserving and impressive as the next.

1. Jeff Gordon
You’ve followed his career and you may have even gotten a look in the driver’s seat if you get your racing channels from a direct tv package , so what more can we say about this living legend? With 80 wins under his belt, Gordon is fixing to be a champ.

2. Dale Earnhardt Sr.
He was the best NASCAR had ever seen commanding both control and incredible judgment. He wasn’t called “The Intimidator” for nothing and he will be sorely missed.

3. David Pearson
Possessing both smooth control and overwhelming finesse he was another one of the best to come out of NASCAR. Known as “The Silver Fox,” he dominated with 105 wins and three championships under his belt.

There are a lot of races coming up for NASCAR fans to enjoy. While many people already know what they like to watch and which drivers they follow, there are probably a few newcomers to the sport who could probably use a little bit of advice on which races are the most popular. From the Daytona 500 all the way down to the Brickyard 400, everyone has their favorite race that they are ready to tune into from the 2012 schedule.

The Daytona 500 is the most anticipated NASCAR race each and every season. Millions of people tune in and an equal number of dollars are wagered on this race every year as people are excited about the prospect of their drivers winning big. This race totals a whopping 500 miles and each year there are some truly dramatic finishes that fans anticipate. The winning drivers usually end up taking home quite a significant amount of money from this race.

Equally important is the Coca-Cola 600 race. It is the longest race each season and happens to be on Memorial Day weekend each year, which means that many NASCAR fans are able to be home from work to watch it. Thousands of NASCAR fans travel to North Carolina each year to witness this rare for themselves and to have a weekend of beer drinking and fun.

Of all the sensational drivers to keep an eye on, a few stand out: Danica Patrick, Joey Logano, and Trevor Bayne.
OK, ladies first. Born in Wisconsin, Danica Patrick is the rookie sensation of the Indy Racing League in the 7 Chevy Impala. She finished second at the Formula Ford Festival 2000, which made her the highest placing American in the race’s history. She was the fourth woman ever to drive in the Indianapolis 500 in 2005, and also the first female to ever lead in that race. She got the Indy Racing League’s Rookie of the Year award that same year.
Joey Logano is on the Joe Gibbs racing team in the 7 Toyota. Born on May 24th, 1990, he won the NASCAR nationwide series when he was just eighteen years old. Other awards include the 2005 Hooter’s Pro Cup Series start and the 2009 Sprint Cup series win.
Trevor Bayne drives the 21 Ford Fusion. He was the winner of the NACSAR Sprint Cup Series Daytona 500 on February 20, 2011. After they waved checkered flag, his response was “Are you kidding me?”. The only other major win for the Knoxville native was a trucks race in 2008.

Jimmie Johnson is always a hot topic in Nascar and for very good reasons. Johnson is the reigning Nascar Champion and a five-time champion that is looking to make it six in a row. Why is Jimmie Johnson always talked about? Many people love Jimmie Johnson for the way he handles himself on and off the track. He always seems to say the right things and rarely ever missteps outside the public eye. People really like that about him a lot. In the age of high-profile athletes that seem to make mistakes, Jimmie Johnson is a rare one indeed.

Just as many people like Jimmie Johnson as many are probably on the other side of the fence as well. Many Nascar fans want to see Johnson fail, and be knocked off his high perch. That is just the nature of the beast and Jimmie Johnson understands that. You can never please everyone and Johnson does this and tries to walk a fine line. In the five years, he has been Champion he has been the talk of Nascar and probably will for a while until someone ends is championship reign. That could happen this year, but really only time will tell if that happens.

If you are looking to catch a race at Bristol Speedway, when you are buying tickets, you have to know where to shop, so that you can get the best tickets, for the best prices. You will find many sites you can buy tickets from, but the best ones are the sites where other fans are selling their tickets. Here you will find tickets from other fans who are not able to go to the event, due to a different prior engagement they have, so they will sell their tickets for a discount, in order to not lose out on the entire price they paid for the tickets. You will also run into many bidding wars, so you have to know when to bid, in order to get the tickets you want, and to get the low prices you want to pay when you are searching for your tickets.

So, rather than pay high prices, by larger retailers, such as Ticketmaster, make sure to first check out the best peer to peer sales sites, and place your bids, so that you can get the seats and tickets you want, for the lowest prices you can find on the web for them.
